The art of exotic leather shoe care

You've just purchased a pair of J.M. Weston shoes; their future is in your hands. Regular care helps preserve their suppleness and enhance their appearance. Here are the four essential steps for caring for your J.M. Weston exotic leather shoes.

1. Cleaning: remove impurities and prepare the leather

Over time, your shoes require special care. First, gently brush your shoes with a J.M. Weston horsehair brush to remove dust and dirt. Then, apply J.M. Weston Smooth Leather Cleaner with a soft cotton cloth.

Enriched with Macadamia oil, beeswax and lanolin, it gently cleanses and provides a first layer of moisture to the leather while opening its pores to prepare them for subsequent care. Massage in with firm pressure to ensure the lotion penetrates well and let it dry for 10 to 15 minutes.

2. Creaming: moisturize, nourish and revive the color

Exotic leather needs regular moisturization to maintain its suppleness and prevent it from drying out. Apply J.M. Weston Reptile Cream every 3 to 4 wears or once a month.

Rich in lanolin and composed of 50% water, this cream nourishes, moisturizes and maintains the suppleness of these delicate leathers.

3. Shoe polish: protect and enhance shine

Waxing is the essential step to restore shine and protect leather from external aggressions. Apply J.M. Weston shoe polish in a thin layer with a soft cotton cloth, paying particular attention to creases.

Once the operation is complete, let it dry for a few moments. This step should be repeated 3 to 4 times a year.

Finition : lustrer et révéler la brillance

Use a J.M. Weston horsehair brush to remove excess polish, using light strokes to avoid damaging the leather.

As a final touch, use the J.M. Weston polishing mitt to accentuate the shine. This step reveals the full depth and intensity of the scales.
