Tennis 1938

JULY 2023

Maison J.M. Weston is based on an exceptionally rich heritage and history. If the archives of the manufacture allow to see and touch historical products, it is obvious that many models have disappeared.

Thus, Olivier Saillard, artistic director of the House, discovered a basketball model signed J.M. Weston in the pages of an Adam magazine dating from June 1938. This exceptional discovery testifies to the presence of the brand on the basketball territory since the end 30s!

In line with the "deck shoes", it was a model designed for boating, light and comfortable. Although dating from 1938, it is clear that its design could not be more contemporary, which is why on the occasion of the Spring-Summer 2022 collection, the J.M. Weston house proudly reissued this model and baptized it "1938". in honor of its historical version.

For this Spring-Summer 2023 season, Maison J.M. Weston is offering the "1938" sneakers in suede leather, a luxurious and supple material in two colours, Navy and Beachnut. In the same materials and colors, it also offers a new "Slip On" version which, thanks to an elastic placed on the instep, allows it to be put on and taken off with ease. These timeless and chic versions will adapt to any wardrobe.
