J.M. Weston x 3.Paradis
MARCH 2024
J.M. Weston announces a cooperation with 3.Paradis, which, under the leadership of its artistic director Emeric Tchatchoua, reinterprets two of its iconic designs : the triple-soled golf derby and the triple-soled loafer.
At 3.Paradis, blue is the color of the sky and freedom, of childhood and the right to dream. Founded just ten years ago by Emeric Tchatchoua, the French brand presented its very first physical fashion show in Paris last June, aptly named “Journey of Dreams”. It unveiled, in an unprecedented creative alliance, the reinterpretation of J.M. Weston’s iconic models. “I’ve always known Weston”, says Emeric Tchatchoua, Artistic Director of 3.Paradis. “When I was younger, the brand was somewhat inaccessible, but I’ve always seen it as the epitome of excellence, refinement, luxury, and good taste. It has always held an important place in my life: my father himself is a client of the House. He is very proud today of this cooperation…”
Thus, the modernity of 3.Paradis meets the timelessness and tradition of J.M. Weston: here, a Golf derby with a triple leather sole is entirely lined in sky blue. The underside of the sole is also dyed blue – a first in the history of J.M. Weston. There, a loafer in box calf is entirely presented in blue, from the upper to the triple leather sole. “I didn’t want to distort the shoe, the extraordinary work of the workshop, or the iconic side of J.M. Weston”, continues Emeric Tchatchoua, “but rather, to propose a bridge between generations. On these two iconic models, the sky blue color is celebrated. It’s about walking in the sky, with shoes that make you dream... The same idea that is behind presides over all 3.Paradis creations: decide to live your dreams instead of dreaming your life.”
The two models, made in a limited series of only 40 pairs, will be available in Paris, at the J.M. Weston stores on Rue Saint-Honoré and Avenue des Champs-Élysées. Shoes to touch the clouds, light-footed, with a sky-colored sole.
