An ephemeral J.M. Weston boutique in Passy
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the house in 2022, J.M. Weston opens an ephemeral boutique at the 70 rue de Passy, it showcases the iconic models and the women‘s collections. Open until the end of June 2022, this 113 square meters sales space is separated in two areas, at the entry of the first space, two erected angles highlight the know-how of the house and its iconic models. At the back of this space, a large blue wall - the house's identity color inspired by Limoges enamels - showcases all the models of the house, Men or Women.
In the second space, a small lounge is exclusively dedicated to the women's collection. Exhibited in the window display, clothes have been cut and sewn in kraft paper, as light as a sheet, they perfectly highlight the pairs of shoes.
“There are a lot of similarities between kraft and leather. Although paper, kraft can age, it darkens over time, acquires a patina like wood or like leather. Kraft paper also recalls the world of the workshop. The workshop of the painter, the sculptor or the workshop of the craftsman” explains Olivier Saillard, the Artistic Director, image and culture of the house.
