J.M. Weston x Roland-Garros 2023
MAY 2023
Organized this year from May 28 to June 11, the Roland-Garros tournament extends its elegance far beyond the courts: shoes and accessories by J.M. Weston invoke this season the retro chic style of the 1930s mixed with the modernity of the 1990s.
Now considered as one of the essential pieces of the Weston wardrobe, the " On Time " Sneaker is available in a new pattern developed exclusively for Roland-Garros and dressed in white calfskin with suede yokes. Several elements, including the rubber sole, recall the clay color of the courts. Built using the side sewn technique, the model can be return to the Limoges factory so that the craftsmen can repair and resole it. A feat in the world of sneakers, and an extended lifespan, to spare no effort on the court and be able to take more steps without fear of damaging your soles.
For this summer 2023, the " Wait and Sea " espadrille is available in suede calfskin or smooth calfskin, topstitched with orange clay-coloured seams. The height of chic, this model is made in the purest tradition, soles and uppers are thus assembled entirely by hand. More formal but just as comfortable, the iconic Moc' benefits from the same nods to the nobility of tennis: the softness of an entirely orange-tinted nubuck is contrasted with a seagull-shaped strap and white stitching.
For all these creations, the references to the famous tournament are also invited inside the shoes since the insoles are all decorated with the pattern of the court, drawn in perspective.
To complete this range of beautiful games, a belt is also available: braided in the colors of the collaboration, finished with a palladium-finish brass buckle and made of elastic nylon, it adapts to all body types. Finally, a pair of ribbed socks, flexible and breathable, has been developed, with a pattern inspired by the wristband of tennis champions.
