When the excellence of shoemaking craftsmanship meets equestrian virtuosity, a story of passion and transmission comes to life. J.M. Weston joins forces with Les Folies Gruss, a family-run company where the art of equestrian performance is passed down from generation to generation.

A familiar universe for the house of J.M. Weston, which has been serving the Garde Républicaine for over 50 years by crafting made-to-measure riding boots for its cavalry.

To mark this collaboration, J.M. Weston created a special version of its iconic Cambre ankle boot for the Gruss family—directly inspired by the equestrian world, adorned with the company’s logo on the back strap, and crafted in accordance with the finest traditions in its Limoges workshops. Beneath the apparent simplicity of its clean lines lies a unique and meticulous savoir-faire: a hand-formed arch on a wooden last. Cut, assembled, and shaped from a single piece of leather, the boot maintains a perfectly balanced volume that has remained unchanged since its creation in 1969.

This collaboration highlights the precision and elegance of movement—whether in a shoemaker’s workshop or on the floor of an arena. A union where tradition and modernity blend to celebrate a living, ever-evolving equestrian art.
